More cunning than a snake in the bush...Snake Dog India Pale Ale is a Colorado-style IPA, power hopped with specialty hops from the Pacific Northwest. This is the brewery’s hop monster, and the citrus fruit aroma will hypnotize the senses of the most hardcore of craft drinkers. 15 Plato, 60 IBU, Crystal Malt, Warrior and Columbus hops, and dry hopped with Columbus.

Can at Moon under water Watford Jdw. A hazed golden orange coloured pour with a lasting off white head. Aroma is citrus orange, hints of pine, subdued hop, with whiffs of alcohol and dishwater. Flavour is composed of semi sweet toffee malts, dirty citrus and pine hop, hot alcohol. Lingering. Pine and solvent in the finish. Palate is frorhy carbonation, semi sweet, alcohol bite in the finish. Not as good as I remember / as I was hoping.

Can at the Back of Beyond, Reading. Pale hazy amber with a large off-white head. Chlorine and pine in the whiff- bit detergent-y. Alcohol very obvious in the mouth. Pretty bitter, lots of pine, a little citrus. Unbalanced and not particularly pleasant.

0.355l bottle. Citrus aroma, oranges and mandarines with flowers notes. Orange colour with soft white head. Fresh hopy aroma with citrus tones and balanced bitterness. Medium body with medium carbonation and pleasant bitter finish. Good IPA.

Draft at Manalù. Hazy copper body with small tight beige head. Leaving coats the glass. Temperature (ice cold) mutes the aroma. Hops kick in at taste with an astringent bite, and finishes bitter. Malts hidden behind the hops and temperature.

Jun. ’15. A 0.355 l bottle from Mali ducan, Split. Hazy golden colored with a small head. Elderflower aroma, then citrus hops, then light biscuit malt. Bitter flavor, orange, herbs, paper. Quite high carbonation hid the alcohol extremely well, but also the fine malts (subtle notes of vanilla and creamy biscuit). Longer dry finish, being lightly more sweet smooth biscuit malty at the very end. Fine and enjoyable although not that awesome as I have expected from this renowned ale.

On tap at DC Craft Brews - IAD. Clear deep gold under a lingering 1 finger off white head leaving a lot of tight lace. Nose is light toffee and bread with citrus and floral hops along with some pine resin. Flavourful is a bit more subdued than the nose with light sweet support for a medium- bitterness. Medium slick mouth with average carbonation.

Közepes, tartós, bézs hab, kissé homályos, borostyán szín. Fincsi, citrusos, fűszeres illat, jelzés értékű gyantás beütéssel. Markáns keserűvel indít, majd citrusos, némi zöld fűszeres és gyantás aromákkal folytatódik a korty. Utóíze keserű, ami a szájüregből gyorsan eltűnik, a nyelv hátsó részén és a garatban viszont még sokáig érezhető. A háttérben végig ott lebeg egy icipici gyanta is. Testes, nehéz sör, de az alkoholt kiválóan elrejtették.
