Review from notes, sampled 3/13/2008 Pours a Beautiful crystal clear golden amber color with a fluffy white head that doesn’t stay around to long. Kinda looks like apple juice. Aroma is a bready malty kinda deal maybe a hint of caramel in there too. Taste is lackluster, kind of thin some malt, but feels watery with no body. Very easy drinker, but not one of my favorites.

Bottle: Pours a clear golden color with an off white head. Aroma is sweet with malt and butter oxidized. Taste is crazy sweet roasted malts with sugary fruit. Something is off between this sugary sweet mess.

22oz bottle poured into Melbourne Bros glass. Pours a clear orange/amber color with a small head. The clear body shows off a nice sparkling, carbonation-visible body. Aroma is aged malt, been sitting on the selves for probably about 5 months but smells like a few years, but that maube for the best. Its fruity cardboard, lightly Belgian-y dough and lightly sweet. Taste is a bit less aged but still there. Otherwise, a mix of Belgian dough with a light easy drinking pale ale-ish feel. rather fine stuff, no alcohol heft to it at all. I am surprised at the low score. Gets very murky and thick looking with further bottle pours.

Courtesy of CigarCityBrew. Pours clear gold with thin off white head. The aroma is sweet crystal malts, light dark fruity esters, musty prunes, over ripe watered down orange wedge and some sweet tart candy. The taste starts nice and refreshing with some orange like citrus tartness that moves toward lemon. I get an under current of mild sugar sweetness and malt sweetness. The flavor notes pull the experience in two different directions and don’t really get along too well.

Nice slightly hazy golden amber coloured body with a super-thin almost non-existent head. Aroma of alcohol, malt, a bit of hops and mainly METAL - not too pleasant in the nose. Medium-bodied; Strong hoppy flavour up front then fades to a mild maltiness with some light fruit and metallic tastes near the end. Aftertaste shows some deep pit fruits, nuts and caramel near the end - along with the mainly malty taste. Overall, a decent beer, after the first few sips, it kind of grows on you. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Clarendon), Virginia on 19-April-2008.

22 oz. bottle and sampled at the brewery. Pours a hazy straw colored, small head. Good taste, mildly hoppy. Good level of effervescence.
