Canned. Pale yellow colour with a small, but creamy and longlasting white head. Aroma is grains, some green apples, mild maize as well as some skunky notes. Flavour is very similar in a rather grassy/herbal way. Cardboard in the finish. Very watery.

Yellow gold with a medium sized foamy white head. A bit grainy and tangy, somewhat watery. Medium finish. Light body.

12 ounce can into lager glass, best before 9/23/2019. Pours crystal clear pale golden yellow color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of cracker, corn, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, wood, pepper, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. A bit of fruity corn aromas, but not overwhelming. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt/grains and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of cracker, corn, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, wood, pepper, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, corn, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, wood, pepper, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of pale malt/grains and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Very clean on lager flavors, with minimal fruity/yeasty notes. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and light body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 3.8%. Overall this is a very nice light adjunct lager. All around nice robustness and balance of pale malt/grains and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Nice clean pils malt/grain showcase, with great earthy hop presence/balance for the style. Not overdone on adjuncts. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and outstanding style example. One of the best macro light lagers I've had as expected of Pabst.

12 oz can. Very pale yellow pour with a large white head and decent retention. No lacing. Lively carbonation. Light and grainy taste, like a very light lager mixed with seltzer. Crisp mouthfeel. Not bad, not great.

From old tasting notes. Pale yellow gold. Big bubbles lead to a brief disappearing white head. Faint briny malt aroma. Excessively carbonated. Little flavor or body. Thin, watery finish.

Can: Light, clear gold with a huge, white cloud of a head. Sweet grain aroma. Taste is soft, watery...grain malt. Pretty bland...but Man, do I feel hydrated!

12oz can poured into a shaker. Pours a clear pale yellow with a half finger of white head. Aroma of light grains. Taste is light bitter. Mostly grains with a dry, slightly powdery texture. Fizzy. Meh, kinda bad even for a light beer.

Fratto party favor. Pours with a clear, pale, yellow hued body with a fading white head. Aromas of corn, mild DMS, seltzer water. Dry. Not very characterful. Flavors are watery and dry, mild grainy. Lively bubbles, watery dry. Pretty inoffensive light beer.

Originally rated December 2006. The one we get here is brewed by Strohs Canada (which is basically Sleeman’s). It is brewed at 4% (woohoo ! 0.1% more than in its home country). It pours a light yellow colour with a white fizzy head, that has not bad retention, and small amount of lace. Carbonation is pretty active, but only sticking to the middle of the glass (very weird). Aweful chemical nose, but at least it don’t smell like water. Smooth and almost creamy mouthfeel. Taste of rusty water at first kicking into a corn finish with hardly any aftertaste. Maybe light malt. Not a horrible beer, but I would prefer having an Amstel Light before this one (or even a Miller Lite).
