Bottle. Poured golden with a white head. Aroma was malty but otherwise nondescript. Flavor was quite grainy and simple. Left something to be desired.

Quite a pale looking lager. Aroma is a little toasty and fruity. Thin body, watery taste with just a little fruity sweetness. Easy to drink but lacks any depth.

This is just a standard beer. There is really nothing at all special about it. However, it tastes just fine and is pretty drinkable. Really there were no offensive qualities to this brew. Wish it had more taste, character, or style. But alas these were lacking and we are left with a simple beer for a the simple man.

I tasted all three of these Saranac pale yellow beers in my variety case, four beers each; Indian pale ale, Adirondack lager and traditional lager. Price was 88 cents per 12 oz bottle at Beer for Less in Moon Twp. The lagers were a little less pale and the Indian pale ale was just a little more bitter. All three though, I consider a typical American pale yellow beer. They all had about the same over all flavor, that Saranac flavor. They are lively when it comes to carbonation. I’ve had these before and they seem to have not changed over the years. Drinkable. Nothing great to brag about.

An orange beer with a nice off-white head. The aroma is sweet grassy with light notes of straw and grain in the back ground. The flavor is sweet malty and grainy, leading to a dry and somewhat bitter end. It has a thin body. A boring beer, but I don’t find anything wrong with it.
