An amber colored ale, Black Isle Red Kite is brewed using only the highest quality Maris Otter pale and crystal malts for flavor and body. Challenger hops for bittering with the late addition of Styrian Goldings creates a balance of quenching citrus and malt, and a classic aromatic finish to this refreshing ale. This beer is bright amber with a toasted nut flavor and powerful orange fruit aroma.

500ml bottle from Tesco. Pours clear reddish brown, thick off-white head. Fruity aromas, redcurrant, toffee. Taste is more toffee sweet, then a nice bitter kick. Clean finish. enjoyable.

Clear red beer with a foamy head. Light fruity aroma. The flavour is light, crisp and zesty with a creamy, malty aftertaste. It’s not the strongest-tasting, most distinctive beer but it’s quite pleasant.

Thanks to Seanyfo. The beer is read in the glass with a beige, slightly nut-brown head. It starts very smooth. Caramel, malt and nicely hopped. The mainpart is smooth, not too sweet, bitter-dry, highly drinkable and deep in aroma. The aftertaste is long, malty-bitter, Bitter-typical, slightly bitter-sweet. Smooth. Very nice!

Bottle in a restaurant/wine bar, Church st, Inverness. Dark browny orange pour with an off white head. Malty nose with some vague fruity notes. Similarly uninspiring flavour that is just about redeemed by a little hop presence. Really nothing special though.

Cask at Hootananny, Inverness, 18/10/13. Hazed reddish amber with a good sized beige head, good lacing ensues. Nose is sweetish, biscuit malt, light hop bill, mineral notes, citrus, hint of grapefruit. Taste comprises caramel, biscuit malt, light spic, good hop presence. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, smooth on the palate, light hop bitterness in the finish. Nice malty hoppy amber affair.
