Growler at the Jim goes to Malaysia tasting, Den Haag. Thanks Kermis. Poured a clear straw colour with a thin white head. The aroma is big citrus, grassy hop, pine needle. The flavour is moderate sweet with a real grass bucket, nettle hop, citrus palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A real hop fest. Nicely balanced and highly drinkable.

On tap at the brewpub. Slightly hazy copper (nothing like the picture) with small off-white head. Aroma is grapefruit and pine, medium body, low carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is some grapefruit, piney, dank, and bitter finish. Expectations were higher for this one.

Growler thanks to michcam8 for sending. Not at all milky and murky like the picture. This is fairly clear (at least on the first pour) and golden orange with a fluffy white head. The aroma is super dank and full of weed with some grapefruit, black pepper, and cracker. Medium body. Little hint of the booze. Very dry. Nice raspy texture. Flavor is spicy and dank. A little onion but not bad. Spicy on the finish. Cool beer. Easily chuggable.

32oz growler with thanks to pyite! Pours hazy butterscotch, medium creamy off-white head, dissipates slowly, nice lacing. Aroma is dank, tropical, passfionfruit, guava, wet leaves, pot, armpits, spruce. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, dank, juicy, tropical. Medium body, oily mouthfeel, lingering bitterness, but not harsh. No real sign of the 8.5% ABV. This is effing world class.

On tap at the magic tree. A sweeter perfumy aroma that lacks the typical IPA smells. Darker than a pale lager, more orange in color. Taste is laced with hardtack candy. Yes, lots of sweetness in the taste, quite odd for a double IPA and makes me wonder if its the right brew but the bartender says it is. Certainly not rude or cloying or syrupy and it does not coat the mouth. As far as iipa status goes, it is a little rude and bitter but it does not get in yer face. Just a slightly hoppy sweet ipa. Never goes into IIPA territory. Quite surprised. If this is a IIPA, its one of the more civilized I’ve ever had.

Growler received in trade from Bencooper27, thanks for the opportunity! Pours a cloudy light golden color with a decent head and lice retention and lace. Aromas of citrus, pine, resin, garlic and a heavy dose of caramel and bready sweetness. The flavor follows the aroma but ends up a bit too much on the sweet malty side for my liking. Medium body with a light to moderate level of carbonation and a sweet resiny mouthfeel. Nice enough IPA but seemed a bit sweet for a dipa imho.
