From tap at Speciaalbier Café De Markies, Leeuwarden. Aroma is creamy lactose with lots of coffee, roast, cocoa, grindy coffee. Flavour is nicely bitter with a light yet creamy body. Quite a tasty coffee milk stout, lovely coffee aroma.

Bottle from Deconinck. Pours hazy black with a huge, slowly diminishing, beige head. Aroma of cold coffee, chicory, wet earth, prune, cream, biscuit, walnut, pistachio. Taste has sweetish prune, nuts & cream, bitter core of coffee nibs & dark chocolate, quite earthy but with sourish fruit aspects underneath. Herbal-earthy hoppy finish, lots of coffee, toast & a subtle dash of cream. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Good but I prefer a stronger variant.

Tap at Craft Clerkenwell. Strong filter coffee grounds type aroma. Totally dominates. Taste is similar, initial coffee smash, but this is some caramel and dairy afterwards. Mars bar elements. Finish is mostly sweet, but the coffee occasionally rears its head. Lots of taste for the strength.

Keg at the Two-Tailed Lion, Leicester. Dark brown, almost completely impenetrable. Big tight tan head quickly subsides. Gentle aroma giving forth creamy coffee, chocolate malt, a little charcoal. The sweet taste is soon met with an earthy hop, with a wonderfully balanced finish of salt liquorice, blackberry, molasses, coffee. Carbonation is intense, and the body is pretty weighty for a low ABV beer. Very good.

Cask at CBC Mary Axe, 27/10/17. Black with a well presented light tan head. Nose is sweet milk chocolate, light coffee grinds, toasted brown sugar, light fruit dusting. Taste comprises more coffee vibes, toffee, nutty, light spice, chocolate biscuit. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a mellow roasted layer/ Solid stout for the ABV.

Fra cask på Craft Beer Co. St. Mary Axe, London 12 Okt 17. Svart. Så vidt litt skum langs glasset. Aroma av røstet malt & sjokolade. Smaken det samme - men mye kaffe etter hvert. Tørr ettersmak. Røstet malt. Veldig bra ut fra styrken!
