Brú Rí is brewed with Irish malt and four different hops. It is a crisp, refreshingly bitter ale, with a blast of citrus, pine and floral scents on the nose. A crisp refreshingly bitter ale, with a blast of citrus, pine and floral scents on the nose.

Old Notes from Nov 2014 - A 500ml bottle picked up by my wife on a recent visit to Ireland. Pours a hazy amber colour with a small head which it retains, leaving trace. Aromas of light floral & orange. Tastes of citrus & orange malt. Average hoppiness. An easy drink to like but more pale ale than IPA.

Light gushing to small yellowish head, fed by lively carbonated orange-copper beer. Waffle syrup, caramel, preserved orange rind, citrus. Rather sweet nose. Dry-ish, hay, citrus - but lemonade-like. Faintly oxydized cookies, other grains. Bit empty. Feels very carbonated, spritzy - and watery. Lame, certainly for an ’IPA’. Ought to do better.

04-08-16 / 500ml bottle, shared. Brought back last year from a trip to Ireland. Hazy, golden colour. Smell is stronger than the taste. Some citrus hops an bit pine. Not an IPA more a PA. --- Beer merged from original tick of Ri on 04 Aug 2016 at 22:55 - Score: 4
