We wanted to launch our label with a bang – taking the world’s most popular style of beer and using it to provide access to clean water for 1,000,000 people. What’s more, our lager is the product of a close collaboration with craft brewing partners and punk pioneers, BrewDog. With BrewDog’s track record in making some of the world’s best tasting and most recognisable craft beers, we think we’ve found the perfect partner to make sure that what’s inside our cans is the best lager we can make.

The Clean Water recipe comes from deep within the locker of BrewDog’s most experimental brewer, Stephen Allerston. Stephen brewed the first 1000 litres back on the 19th January, inspired by the Brewgooder mission to make a unique and full flavoured lager. Made with a unique blend of Saaz and Sorachi Ace hops – with a touch of wheat for that perfectly poured, foamy head – this craft beer takes the best of lager heritage and gives it a modern Eastern twist.

Our partnership with BrewDog has also allowed us to carry out our first production run of 200,000 cans right here in Scotland, adding to the growing list of great beers the country has produced over the past 10 years.

Keg at Brewdog, Cowley Rd, Oxford, Monday 30th July 2018 after a fabulous Natalie Merchant gig. Sometimes you are just very thirsty and all you need is a pint of lager which is what we have here. A straightforward unfussy lager, a bit safe, a bit run of the mill, light straw coloured with a white head. It's just ok, some watery cereal, ok. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Nothing thrilling in this but it's a nice crisp lager with none of the other nasties you'll get from a less good lager. Perfectly quaffable

Bottle from Asda. Slightly hazy gold in colour, with a creamy, white, head. Sweetish white bread malts, with a hint of lemon and bitter hop notes. Flavour had more sharpness, light malts, a hint of pepper, leading to a pleasantly bitter finish. A good lager.

Botle from ASDA. Bright golden, small foamy head disappears. Aroma is grainy, a tad bit vegetal. Taste follows with more of the grainy flavors, smooth. Nothing wrong with it, just a plain lager.

20/4/2018. Can from Flavourly.com. Pours pale gold with an average sized fluffy white head. Aroma of grain, caramel, grass and sweet malt. Quite heavy sweetness, light bitterness. Moderate body, oily texture, average carbonation. Sweet finish. Not much to it.
