Simcoe IPA by this modern Estonian craft brewer, draught at De Kantien in Ghent. Tightly cobweb-lacing, dense, snow white, frothy head, hazy peachy gold with ochre tinge. Aroma of dried orange peel, lemon zest, bitter herbs, bread crust, minerals, freshly cut grass, olive oil, green banana. Cleanly fruity onset, unripe banana aspect, low in sweetness, more or less spritzy carbonation with a minerally effect but acceptable for a draught IPA. Supple, bit oily mouthfeel, green olive-like hoppy accents accompanying a cereally, softly bready malt body, debouching into a long bitter finish, grassy, oily and dried citrus peel-like, quenching and drying, bit spicy. Pleasant enough and technically well made, but honestly I expected more citrusy and oniony hop fragrance from a Simcoe IPA and I missed that a bit here.

33cl bottle from Beer52.com at 5% ABV. A slightly hazy pale amber pour with a loose cream head; yeasty aroma; soft grainy body with a dry woody bitterness; and a pleasant warmth. Seems more like a Saison than an IPA to me.
