Bottle at a restaurant: pours brown with small head. Aroma is the essence of brown rye bread. Taste is sweet, low hoppiness, not accompanied with the spice of American rye, but rather a rich breadiness.

Bottled. A hazy brown beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, rye, and roasted bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted bread, rye, and a bit of citrus fruits, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle courtesy of the ever generous FatPhil and Anna at last years Cambridge Winter Beer Festival, its taken me some time to get around to drinking this. Consumed at home down the garden near the pond Monday 14th May 2018 in the company of Isobel. Pours chestnut brown with a mid sized tan head. A little smokey with a touch of liquorice, dark fruity tang, good malty beer, like this. A touch of coca cola, like this, cheers you two. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

33cl bottle from Beer52.com. A peaty brown pour with a tight beige head; sweet aroma with some caramel and rye; quite lively in the mouth with a sweet rye bread taste and a spicy, malty body; then a light herbal bitterness, and a bready finish. Certainly what you’d expect liquidised dark rye bread, spread with treacle, to taste like.

Bottle shared at Borefts Beer Festival 7th edition day 1 25/09/2016. Many thanks. Aroma is spicy rye bread, strawberry, grainy, jammy. A reddy amber coloured pour. Flavour is composed of earthy rye bread, tangy, little Sweet and caramel, wheat, woody. Palate is semi sweet, highish carbonation. Decent.
