Black with no head. A little bit of an oily texture. It’s a reasonably mild whiskey taste as there are no smokey elements. Relatively light and sweet

Bottle split at the ABC Beers pre Borefts tasting, 24/09/15. Light black with a decent tan covering. Nose is rich malt, tar, spice, chocolate, dark fruit peel. Taste comprises light chocolate, tickle of whisky, charr, dark fruit shreds. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Bit of a nothing beer all told, just doesn’t deliver on the promised flavours.

Pre Borefts Tasting at ABC Beers, Den Haag. Almost opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is airy and semi dry. Modest fine carbonation. Moderately tangy dark malts. Little dark chocolate. Mild whiskey soaked fruits. Light finish. Decent but there are so very many ba stouts better than this.

Erstaunlich milder Malzantrunk, geringe Herbe, insgesamt aber vollmundig. Minimal bitter, etwas herb, trocken schokoladig. Gut! 10/11/11/1//11
