This mahogany red beer is a beautiful marriage of malts and hops. Elegantly balanced, notes of caramel, toffee, and toasted grains are complemented by bright, citrusy and tropical American hop character with a smooth finish.

Fra tap på bryggerpuben. Planke. Delt med Rune. Nøttebrun. Lavt tett kritthvitt skum. Stabilt. Aroma av kjeks & nøtter. Smaken litt vanilje. Tørr etter hvert. Behagelig.

Tap at Craft Room. Lovely ruby-amber body, off white head. Nice aroma, honey and clean maltiness, vague red fruit. Biscuity maltiness, vaguely grainy, mild herbal hops, sweetish, cool enough for what it is.

From a 330ml can on 2/7/2018. Pours a clear light amber with a small head. The nose is bready with a bit of caramel. The tastes features a nice balance of fruit and malt - it's toasty, with some light caramel and toffee, followed by sweet citrus and a mild bitterness. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. A really nice, well made little beer.

"American red" (I guess amber ale) by the English craft brewery Fourpure, from a can at Kantien, thanks Goedele for sharing. Open, egg-white, moussy head over a pure and deep orangey amber coloured, hazy beer, turning a bit more coppery with sediment. Aroma of wet caramel candy, toast, crackers, rainwater, dried apricot, orange peel, paprika soup. Dried peach and red apple sweetishness in the onset, soft with a medium degree of carbonation providing minerally side notes; smooth caramelly and peanutty malt body with lingering minerals, clean finish with a dried citrus peel hop note adding mellow but adequate bitterness which in itself accentuates the toasty character, but is at the same time unable to lend the finish sufficient body, so that it ends a little bit on the watery side. Bit 'underbodied' even for a beer below 5% ABV, feels much more like a classic English pale ale than an American amber ale, but easygoing and correct in terms of flavour balance - though I would not have minded a stronger dosis of American hops.

330 ml. can @ Beerlovers Bar. Dark ruby amber, creamy tanned head; nose is sticky pleasant pine caramel with low leaves & herbal bread, sugar,… Nose beats smell, taste is bit too herbal, bitter leaves, dry burned, too herbal, bit empty lingering dry leaf body with low caramel, dry,… Bit too heavy on herbal, empty leaves but still fair affair with bready malts, caramel, pleasant more basic offering.

Can. A clear, copper colored beer with a dense, two-finger beige head leaving lacing. Roasted malts, caramel, pine cones and resins. It's full to medium bodied, semi-sweet and with a nice, smooth carbonation. Pleasant bitterness, some roasted malt notes, a good dash of caramel, some pine cones and resins in the flavor. Lasting finish with malts, pine cones and some resins. Long bitter, fruity and caramel-ish finish. A quite pleasant amber ale. 171111
