This mahogany red beer is a beautiful marriage of malts and hops. Elegantly balanced, notes of caramel, toffee, and toasted grains are complemented by bright, citrusy and tropical American hop character with a smooth finish.

Canned. Slightly hazy amber colour with a small white head. Aroma is bready and slightly toasted malts along with some mild fruity notes. Flavour is toasted cramel with some slight fruity notes. Ends rather grassy and bitingly crisp hoppy, leaving a nice bitterness.

Oct. 2019: On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger, as Fourpure Flatiron American Red. Reddish amber colour, moderate head, slightly off-white. Aroma of amber malts and red berries. Fruity flavour of hops and red berries, not too sweet, nice and well balanced bitterness.

(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 25 Aug 2018) Dark reddish amber colour with rocky, beige head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of caramel, citrus, pink grapefruit and rye bread. Malty, hoppy taste with rye bread, caramel, blood orange, crisp-bread and a balanced bitterness in a fairly dry finish. Medium body, mainly dry. Tasty and well balanced, Quite nice.

Sample tray, draught at Fourpure Taproom. Patchy off-white head, clear copper coloured body, upper part lacing. Red fruity nose. Taste of ripe red orange and toffee. Mid-dry malt-fruity ending. Pretty alright. (Shared with Finn, Bermondsey, London 29.09.2018).
