An extremely hopped beer, with a light copper colour and an elevated alcohol content. Dextrose is added to the malts, to make the beer particularly dry and to bring out at best the intense aromatic notes of the American hops used (Simcoe, Mosaic, Citra, Amarillo). The use of Vermont yeast makes the beer particularly soft and aromatic.

Bottle shared at the inaugural Matteo tasting, 31/10/2016. Many thanks to Colin for this. A light hazed golden orange coloured pour with a a fine white head. Aroma is lovely, juicy, spicy citrus, apricot, honey, sticky, resinous. Flavour is composed of sticky honey, jammy fruits, tropical fruit, apricot, mango. Palate is sticky ky resinous hop, moderate carbonation. Pretty good.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Cloin. Pours clear, rich gold with a foamy, white head. Nice juicy citrus and dank pine in the nose. Medium sweet flavour with more ripe citrus, oily pine, mango. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly resinous in the finish, good and dank, with more juicy melon, mango, orange. Great stuff.

Bottle at Matteo abode, thanks to me, 31/10/16. Lightly hazed golden orange with a decent off white head. Nose is pine, sticky hops, grapefruit, pithy citrics, straw, tangy melon. Taste comprises sticky tropical fruits, dank hop, mandarin, pine resin, peach. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a sticky hop finale. Solid DIPA ... great stuff.

On tap @King Arthur (Rome). Pours golden with a medium white head. Aroma is very hoppy, peach, lychees, pineapple, grape. Flavour is well balanced, medium malty with a medium to high bitter end, dangerously drinkable despite the ABV. Medium body, medium carbonation. A little masterpiece!

330mL bottle, courtesy of fiulijn (thanks Alex), pours a fairly clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of piney hops, followed by some cat piss from the citra, a touch of floral notes, and sweet bready caramel malt -- very light. Flavour is lovely, with notes of piney hops upfront, some floral notes, a touch of stone fruitys, and backed by a slightly sweet cereal malt backbone. Really well-balanced, with a good amount of sweet malt to back the pungent hops. Moderate bitterness on the finish. Excellent.
