The first of our foray into lager beer, Hop Rocker is a high impact, hoppy behemoth made with 100% malt. Since 2007 we have been obsessive about quality, using only the best ingredients to ensure the flavour and craftmanship of the beer in your glass. Hop Rocker is testament to that. The malt base gives this beer a sweet, balanced complexity while the combination of New Zealand and German hops merges new world tropical juiciness with old world peppery spice.

330ml bottle from Brewdog online. Orange gold amber colour, off-white foam head leaving some lacing and aroma of grains, malt, tangy hop. Taste is malt, grain, sweetish, alittle fruity with a slightly metallic hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry lingering bitter finish. Quite OK.

Off white bubbly head stayed on a hazy dark golden still body. Hoppy, floral aroma. Medium bodied. Crisp and sharp. Finely carbonated on the palate. Dry on the aft. Very fruity tastes, floral, peach and a long bitter finish. Quite hoppy. Enjoyable hoppy Lager.

Keg at BD Soho, 11/04/17. Golden pour with a decent off white head. Nose is bready malts, caramel, biscuit, light hop notes, citric rinds. Taste comprises toasted grains, light floral notes, melon, straw, bready notes, toasted malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with some subtle hop interplay. Nothing Iβd revisit.

Rebrewdog version from the Brewdog Online Shop. Pours clear golden amber with a thick white head. Lager vibe is strong with this one. Cooked corn and grass. Taste is more of the same, faint lemon linger.

330ml bottle rebrewed for AGM. Crystal clear light amber gold colour with a small white head. Aroma: pale malt, faint citrus, caramel. Taste: sweet malt, caramel, subtle fruity/grassy hops, light bitter finish. Light-medium body and moderate carbonation, good mouthfeel for a lager though. Quite similar to BrewDogβs more recent lagers I think, though ironically this is less hoppy.

Keg at Brewdog Soho. A clear golden orange coloured pour with a sticky white head. Aroma is semi sweet cereal leafy hop, orange rind. Flavour is composed of sweet Base malts, simple slightly nutty malts, orange rind. Maybe a hint of sulphur. Palate is a bit sweet moderate carbonation. Not such a crisp finish. Ok.
