Cask @ Blue Boar, Leicester. Almost black with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and lots of chocolate. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and roasted moderate bitter finish. 260717

Cask @ Blue Boar, Leicester. Nice head with good duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, licorice and hops. Nice bitter finish.

Fra keg på Hopbunker Cardiff 2 Mai 17. Ultramørk rubinrød. Lavt skum med litt farge. Litt lacing. Aroma av sjokolade. Smaken lett røstet malt samt sjokolade & lakris. Grei den!

Keg, shared with Finn at Hopbunker. Deep rosewood coloured body under a stable fawn-coloured head. Fair lacing. Slightly roasted aromas with notes of liquorice and grainy chocolate. Dark doughy flavours joined by moments of liquorice and toffee. Roasted, mid-sweet malty finish. Medium bodied. Pleasant. (Cardiff 02.05.2017).

(Cask at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell, London, 23 April 2017) Dark brown colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, dark chocolate, crisp-bread and a touch of mint. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, toast, crisp-bread, orange peel and a balanced roasty bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced porter. Nice one.

Cask at CBC Clerko, 24/04/17. Black with a well appointed tan cap. Nose is bitter roast, happy pangs, charr, spice, chocolate. Taste comprises roast malt, toffee, light coffee beans, chocolate, raisins. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close with a hop trace and bitter roast closure. Decent porter.

Cask at CBC Clerkenwell - London. Pours clear reddish brown with a slim, foamy crown. The nose has light coffee, well toasted grains, chocolate biscuits. Light sweet flavour with mild earthy bitterness, a little dry milk chocolate, low roast, burnt grains. Light in body with fine carbonation. Finishes with hints of burnt pine, more cocoa, chocolatey biscuits, mellow earth, bitter coffee. Not bad.

Cask at CBC Clerko for the tap takeover. A mahogany brown red coloured pour with a halo of light tan head. Aroma is burnt liquorice, brown sugars, spicy hop, star anise, weed. Spicy hop. Flavour is composed of toasted malts liquorice, bitter black malts, mellow spices, galangal, woody pine. Bark. Palate is semi sweet, moderate carbonation, decent. Lingering mellow jammy fruits fried berries.
