Bottle at BenH. It pours clear deep ruby - brown with a medium foamy beige head. The aroma is sweet, oily, date scone, prune, shortbread, toasty grain and roasted malt. The taste is bitter, rich roasted malt, earthy, slick, date, prune, date scone, peppery spice, warming alcohol, varnish, burnt toast and some saltiness. Medium body and fine carbonation. Quite interesting stuff.
