Tap at Stagshead. I feel like I haven’t had brown ale in ages I’ll have to look that up. Pours, you guessed it, brown. Nice nose of toffee and malt. Tastes of roasted malt, toffee, nuts, quite bready, and wood. Creamy and pleasant

Bottled (from Ales By Mail). Ambery brown colour, mediumsized beige fluffy/creamy head which leaves good lace. Aroma is chocolate, wood, some bready and toffeeish malts along with some citrus and herbal notes. Flavour is toffee, nuts, some chocolate, mild wood, resin and some earthy and herbal notes. Nice fruity and chocolaty aftertaste with also some mild notes of nuts.
