Bottle at home. Two year old. Has a dark brown to black colour with a small beige head. Aroma of chocolate truffles, nuts, ammonia, rubber, fudge and vanilla. Flavour of soy sauce, rye bread, ash and some ammonia in the background. Has a slick and slightly silky mouth feel, full-bodied and a light bitterness. Roasted and tastefull, but a little odd.

Bottle shared with VH, MP and HG at decentralised yule beer tasting on board Fridtjofen in Kristiansund 12.12.20. Black. Small head. Aroma and sweet taste of coconut and grapefruit. Good!

Bottle. Dark brown, close to black body under a thin beige head. Aroma has dark malt, and alcohol – lots of alcohol. Taste is very sweet and reminds me a lot of sweet and bitter cocoa with alcohol. Not very complex or elegant. HAs some qualities, but feels a bit out of balance in taste and body. Too boozy.

KØLF 271120. Black color with a tan head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malt. Flavor is cocoa, alcohol, coffee, dust, aquavit, vanilla, chocolate, lactose. Nice beer.

Bottle. Close to pitch black, with just a thin ring of light tan bubbles for a head. Rather oily. Dark chocolate, lactose, marshmallow, some aquavit and of course roasted malts. Heavy caramel sauce too. It's full-bodied, faintly warming and lightly boozy, with a low but suitable carbonation level. The flavor has some spiced, woody notes, oak, with lots of dark caramel sauce, roasted malts, dark chocolate and some coffee. Not to forget marshmallow and some aquavit notes. Lasting finish that goes on like the flavor started. A heavy but delicious treat, should satisfy every sweet tooth. 200514

Har hatt godt av litt lagring. Masse smak, men ikke helt over the top. Husker den som litt for intens som helt fersk. Lite alkoholisk, men kanskje trenger den det for å matche resten av smakene?
