15 February 2019. La Quince TTO @ Dok, Ghent. Cheers to Anke! Pours clear amber-red with a lasting, small, frothy, tan head; some lacing. Interesting aroma of fried onion, green olive, red bell pepper, pine, orange peel, pink grapefruit, toast, dark honey. Taste is light malty sweet, biscuit, caramel & honey with vage ripe fruitiness; light to medium hoppy bitter core offers grapefruit peel, bell peppers with a spicy & oniony touch, faint olive even. Dryish, piney hoppy finish, lingering (almost dank) onion, honey, pink grapefruit. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. This one stood out more, very nice.

Clear red beer, small creamy beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: some tropical fruits, bit malty, caramel. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: malty start, bit sweet, caramel, grains, nice bitterness, fruity, some grapefruit, citrus. Aftertaste: more bitterness, grapefruit, bit grassy, dry tropical fruits, lychee, some sweetness, caramel.
