Zwart bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is bitter, krachtig en warm met lichte rooksmaak en iets van chocolade.

I Draught /I Dense dark-beige head, fed by fine, lively carbonated jet-black beer; very lacey. Smelling quite sweet, just a bit of smoke, quite roasted. But cloying sweet seems to threaten, with vanilla in force and Bourbon, of course. Sweet, vanilla², sweet chocolate, hint of musk, tobacco. And lots of roast, caramelized. Bar of chocolate with a shot of Bourbon. Warming up, a hint of nutmeg. Very well-bodied, ultra long-lasting flavours, alcoholheat. Somehow, I expected more from this. The Bourbon here lends more sweetness, than it gives complexity.

Bottle picked up from somewhere in the Netherlands, consumed at home Thursday 8th November 2018 whilst a homemade Ndjua Shepherds Pie warms up in the oven Pours black, shark eye black, never took any notice of the head. Some sticky dark fruit combines with the Bourbon, it's a bit sweet but bitter molasses and a pleasant roastiness show. The barrel ageing is good as its not overpowering good impy. Thanks! Sampled @ MEUG 2018. Black, tanned head. Nose is weird plastic, glue, green apple almost. Thin plastic syrup, green apple, hot alcoholic varnish, dark fruit, thin chocolate, tobacco, roast,..; Plastic syrup, roast. Really not what I expected upon seeing RIS & Wild Turkey, totally falters, not all bad but really not what it should be.

Fles van het Biermoment. Typische wild turkey RIS, maar wel redelijk veel drop en salmiak in het basisbier, en iets boozy --- Beer merged from original tick of Basement Barrel Aged - Nr. 07 Wild Turkey on 06 Oct 2017 at 23:21 - Score: 7. Bottle @ home. Opaque pitch black color, medium to full sized medium brown colored head that lasts for a decent while. Aroma is malts, dark malts, liquor / bourbon, some roast. Taste malts, bourbon, roasted malts, bitter, dark and roasted malt bitter, lightly peaty in the background but not annoyingly. Medium body and decent, suitable carbonation. Solid.
