Dark and burned sugar. Fruit, easy to drink and fresh malty. Dark, caramel, roast, dark dried fruits. Very intense, great smooth caramel, dark roasted sugar. Not much bitterness but not too sweet - great complex.

Bottle . Pours clear , yet very dark brown . Small white head . Smell is sweet, with a bit of earthy spicyness . Taste is bit bitter , some earth , some caramel . Chocolate tones . Caramel ending . Rather thin ( guess thats normal for the style ? ) Yet nice in taste . Probably should be more robust for a 7 % beer though .

Hazy dark brown with beige head. Roasted malts, light fruits (pear, apple, banana), brown sugar, spices, some creamy candy notes. Medium to ligh bodied, slightly creamy texture but not too thick. Very decent bock.

Bottle from a shopping centre on the Den Haag waterfront, drunk while watching the film Captain Phillips on the Rotterdam-Hull ferry. Absolutely terrible film by the way. This beer wasn’t so bad. Big sticky sweet malts, with some caramel and a little liquorice.
