Dip in. Tawny with rouge depth. This bold Biscotti experiment takes a sour bruin base, aged in Vin Santo Barrels with almonds for over a year and gently infused with vanilla beans. Bursting with Amaretto and Brett leather character. The first mouth-watering sip is sour and vinous but quickly rounds out into a decadent almond and vanilla finale.

The twentieth of twenty-one beers for our 11th wedding anniversary. Nidábe's. Bottle 0.5l, almost five years aged. Almost clear, reddish colored. AROMA- quite sharp sour bacillous, red wine, dried grapes, some almonds, too. FLAVOR- pretty sour, neutral, slightly bitter, dry red wine, dark grapes, sour cherry. Medium bodied. Nice one.

50cl bottle - Pours a lightly hazed coppery amber colour with a diminishing off-white head that settled to a film. The aroma is light balsamic, sour red fruit and brett with some woody notes. A sour fruity taste, sour red berries, tart apple, balsamic and lemon flavours with a drying sour fruit finish.

Bottle from the brewery online shop. Pours clear mahogany with a thin off-white head. Aromas of light sour funk, wood, raisin. Taste is more of the same. Light sour finish.

Definitely sour first, but also pretty sweet. Lots of the barrel flavours coming through, giving red fruits and sweetness. Not sure where the almonds went, vanilla is really light and may just be oak, raisins.. if you say so! Tasty, though.

500ml bottle from Taps Beer Bar, Changkat, Kuala Lumpur.
Poured a murky medium brown colour with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is big bretty yeast, zesty citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate sour, with a light, funky yeast, crisp, tart, juicy grapefruit citrus, light herbal palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Vollmundiger, dunkel säuerlicher Beginn. Holznoten, Rosinen und Mandeln sind nur bei Kenntnis erkennbar, Vanille nicht erkennbar. Würzig, trockener Hintergrund, konstante Säure. Langer saurer Abgang. 8/10/11/11/13/11

Bottle. Clear reddish body under an off-white head. Nice aroma of slightly acidic berries, ripe and fresh cherry, some fruit in general, slightly funky and hint of wood. Taste is smooth with a fine balance between sweet and acidic berries, cherry and dry fruit. Fine body and pleasant aftertaste. All over a nice beer.

Bottle. An unclear reddish orange colored beer with a nice beige head. Lightly funky aroma with dried fruits, some fresh fruits and a pleasant generic fruityness. It's full bodied, smooth and dry on the palate. Dried fruits, cherry, hints of cocoa, vinous notes and some vanilla hints on the flavor. Delicious indeed, complex and tasteful. 200404
