Black in colour with a creamy tan head and delicious roasted caramel and chocolate flavours. It's hearty, robust and everything a good stout should be.

0.375 l bottle from 'Sterk Avondverkoop', best before October 2018. Black with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, moderately roasty aroma of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee and some licorice. Quite sweet, malty, moderately roasty taste of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee and some licorice, followed by a short, moderately roasty-bitter, slightly earthy-dry and a little metallic finish. Medium body, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

Bottle from a Melbourne Coles Liqourland. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy tan head. The aroma is sweet roasty caramel malt, chocolate, coffee, liqourice, dry hop. The flavour is liqourice bitter with a roasty, dry smoke, charcoal liqourice palate and a dry liqourice bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Better than the aged version IMO.

From old tasting notes. Black brown color. Thick creamy tan head. Spicy roasted malt nose. Rich sweet roasted chocolate malt flavor. Overly sweet, yet drinkable.

Love the color coordinated styles! I've done red, green, orange and now yellow!

Bottle at home. Black with bubbly tan head. Sweet roasted chocolate malts. Chocolate, licorice, molasses, dry wood, something unoutspoken fruity. Moderate gay sweet and Christian bitter. Under medium body. Soft carbonation. Bittersweet finish. My Rating: 7/4/7/3/14, boiling down to a 3.5. I’ll do you the favor of officially entering a 0.5 though, for speaking out against same sex marriage. F to the U. Cheers!

Creamy beige head stayed well on a near black still body. Malt, iron & roasted aroma. Smooth, soft on the palate, sharp on the back. Sweet & malty to the fore with dark spirits and a bitter aft of black coffee, bitter hops, citrus, & very tangy on the back.

Light roast and some caramel. Bittersweet finish. Black pour with good head and lacing. A little dark chocolate like late night during diets. Bottle.
