Draught @ Warpigs Brewpub. Pours black with a creamy brown head, some lacings. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, light sourness, sweet fruity hops, pineappple. Flavor is roast malt, coffee, licorice, dark chocolate, fruity hops, pineapples, strawberry. Medium body, average carbonation, light bitter finish. 300415

Draught. Opaque black liquid with small to medium light tan head. Aroma of citrus, light diacetyl, ash, mango, tangerine and toast. Taste is dry and medium to high bitter with notes of citrus, butter, tangerine, biscuit, toast and light ash. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Would be great without the diacetyl.

Pours pitch black with a smooth brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, grassy hops, pine, herbal notes and some hints of coffee. Taste is smooth, sweetish and hoppy with some roastiness, pine and herbal grassy notes. Finish is crisp, hoppy and slightly roasty with some sweetish notes. Pretty good.

Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a weak roasted malty hoppy bitter caramel aroma. Slightly roasted malty citrus hoppy bitter caramel flavor. Has a roasted malty hoppy bitter finish.

Draft at Warpigs. Pours near black with a small tan head. Aroma of citrus, orange and tropical fruity hops with a nice light roast, licorice and fudge. Flavor is over moderate sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Tap at the Brewpub. Poured a deep mahogany with a thin tan head and a little broken lace. The aroma is light roasted malt. The flavour is strong bitter with a big roasty liqourice, light grass hop, light medicinal palate. Moderate to full bodied with soft carbonation. Big and chewy without too many hops. A decent beer but not a traditional black IPA.
