Fles gedronken met familie (tht 2013). Robijnrood helder bier met weinig schuim. Weinig aroma. Licht sprankelend en fruitig in de mond. Enigszins houtig in de nasmaak.

Bottle: Hazy, ruby-amber coloured, some floaties visible, stable off-White foamy layer; dried red berries, caramel and delicate traces of Wood and vanilla in the seet dark-malty nose; moderate sweet and mildly bitter flavour, medium bodied, not very soft; lingering vinous-fruity and caramelly finish with a slight bitterness in the aftertaste. Good, good...

0,75 l bottle from bier.de. Clear, reddish amber with a medium large, creamy, slowly diminishing, tan head. Fruity-malty aroma of raisins, prunes, dates, caramel and nuts, maybe minimal hints of cardboard. Sweetish-malty taste of caramel, nuts, honey and sugar with subtle hints of raisins and dates, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter and minimally alcoholic finish with a bit of licorice. Medium to full body, creamy and smooth mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Solid ale with typical trappist creaminess. Quite sweet, sadly the fruity notes of the aroma can hardly be found in the taste. Still, I like it and it is a nice tick!

75 cl. bottle, shared. Hazy, dark amber colour with golden hues. Lightly tanned, thin head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, fruits, candid sugar, earthy and floral hops. Toasted and liqourice notes. Taste is sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes slightly dry with caramel malts, fruits and yeasty notes. Nice Belgian.
