Aroma is roasted malts, black chocolate and soft vanilla. Taste is again roasted malts and black chocolate leading to a slightly smoked finish. Sticky and sugary. Next one please!

Keg at the Rusty Bucket, Eltham. Reddish-black pour with a beige head. Nose of vanilla, raisin, lots of chocolate. Flavours of chocolate cake, chocolate raisin, smoke, coffee. Very nice.

Keg at BD Inverurie. It pours opaque black with a small light tan head. The taste is sweet, sticky, toasted marshmallow, smoke, rocky road, wood, leather, vanilla, sugary and berry. The taste is sweet, sticky, sugary, marshmallow, cranberry, jammy berry, slick, smoked action, charred, slick, sticky and some booze with a drying finish. Medium+ body and fine, foamy carbonation. Decent stuff.

On keg at the Hanging Bat Appearance - close to jet black, dark fawn head. Nose - caramel heading into molasses. Smoke of course. Tastes - more of the same. Also getting chocolate this time. Caramel and smoke are dominant though. Palate - medium bodied at least. Smoky middle and finish. Overall - lovely beer.
