Pitch black coloured body with a muddied and pure black glow with a nice, dense three centimetre tall deep brown and tannish head on top of the beer. Aroma of super pungent bourbon and cognac scents with a ton of caramelised sugars, bunches of vanilla pods and a heavy hand of tobacco as well. Medium-bodied; Super dense vanilla and tobacco flavours at first with a deep lactose and milky sweetness with a lot of bourbon flavours without all the boozy alcohol character - just the flavours with some vanilla s well towards the end. Aftertaste shows a great blend of roasted malts, lactose, vanilla, bourbon, light alcohol, tobacco and a dose of toast and yeast towards the very end. Overall, a nice and well-structured [sweet] stout with a lot of flavours that show some of the pungency of a bourbon-barrel aged Imperial, without the depth, alcohol or pungency - this was a nice and interesting diversion - especially from a local brewer, here on Hawai'i [island]. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from the Kona Wine Market in Kailua-Kona, Hawai'i [island] on 29-December-2018 for US$14,00 sampled in my hotel room here in Kona, Hawai'i right at the stroke of New Year's 2019 on 01-January-2019.

Draught, taster. Sampled on the 27/10/2018 at "Mash Beer Festival 2018", Barcelona (Spain). Pitch black colour with a big and foamy beige head. Aroma is intense bourbon, oak barrels, brown sugar, molasses and roasted malts. Taste is intense bourbon, mocha coffee, cola, brown sugar and roasted malts. Finish is licor and sweet with lot of molasses. Low carbonation. Light booze. Next one please!
