Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom L's place. Thanks Stas. Hazy yellow. Some pickled vegetables, a bit of lemon, malt, graininess, sweetish and slightly tart, light-bodied, over-carbonated. Not great.

Slightly unclear pale golden colour, tall fluffy white head, dissipates slowly, good lacing. Aroma wheat, lemon, some vinegar. Flavour mild sweet and sourish, wheat, lemon, gooseberry. Soft dry sweet aftertaste with a light sourness. Light body, watery texture, average carbonation, friendly sour ale.

Bottle from Duque, Lisboa. It pours cloudy golden with a massive foamy white head. The aroma is fresh, zesty citrus, lemon cheesecake, white bread and earthy funk. The taste is dry, tart, sweet - sour, lemon, tangy lime, gooseberry, sherbet, earthy, lactic, lemon cheesecake and some alcohol with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate - high foamy carbonation. I would prefer if it was a bit cleaner and brighter. Pretty OK entry level sour.

Reviews based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 23A). Bottle 33 cl - Batch L007. AROMA: moderate clean sour aroma with a medium-low yeast aroma and faint wheat background. APPEARANCE: pale gold color and hazy. Large white head with medium retention. TASTE: balanced flavour between a medium-low clean sourness and slightly sweet malt and yeast. semi-dry finish with a yeasty aftertaste. PALATE: medium-light body. high carbonation. OVERALL: a berliner weisse that needs more acidity and maybe a different brewers yeast strain. a good start tought.
