Dit goddelijke nectar is een welhaast bovenzinnelijke gewaarwording van intense smaakbeleving. Een I.P.A. zoals het hoort, hevig hoppig, met een volmondige citrussmaak. Bier waar Ganesh, de sympathieke hindoe-godheid met de olifantenkop, in benevelde benevolentie op neerziet!

Friekens I.P.A. wordt met een zeer grote hoeveelheid Simcoe, Citra, Centennial en Amarillo langdurig gehopt, en dat proef je. Dit is geen bier voor weekhartigen.

(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 9 Aug 2023) Pale amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of orange peel, toast and grapefruit. Malty, hoppy taste with orange peel, grapefruit, crisp-bread, pine needles and a balanced citric/piney bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Refreshing and well balanced. Nice one.

Pours a somewhat hazy orange colour and a stiff off white head with long retention and good lacing. Aroma's: bitterhops, leafy, but also some sweet malts & light fruit. Retronasal: resinous, bitterish, sweetish, fruity. Flavour is bitter and light moderate sweet. Medium bodied. Firm bitter finish.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ het Biermoment. Dutch brewery #368. Hazy amber with a white head. Citrus aroma with some pine. Good bitter taste with a bitter finish. Body is a bit lacking and overall it's a bit old school and generic but still tasty.

Harsig, dennen, citrus, licht bloemig, wat caramel, stevige moutbasis, klassiek, wat plastic in de geur, vrij bitter. Prima.
