385ml bottle. Batch 1. Pours a deep dark purple color. The aroma is medium in strength with mixed berries. The taste on the other hand is is a big bold blast of ripened currants. A touch. of woody tannins. The palate is full and smooth. Finishes insanely long with sweet berries lingering. Overall; Damn fine mead

Pours dark, clear purple. Scent is full, berry forward. Bit acidic impression. Mild on the honey base, very fruitforward. Taste is very full, intense and sweet. Thick, medium acidity. builds up to a medium high. Very fruitforward, smooth and silky. lovely !

The nose shows beets and mild cassis
The palate is light bodied. Dark bramble forwardness with a balanced cranberry astringency.

Refrigerated 75 cL clear bottle poured into a glass. Clear dark red. Aroma is rich currants, thick body, and syrupy texture. Taste is rich currants and honey.

Tasting at Phill's, corked bottle
Dark burgundy colour. Aroma of generic berry jam, berry pie, the currant character shows up just a bit. Thick and hugely sweet; moderate acidity; the honey base is palatable, strong berry jelly flavour; the alcohol is not noticeable.
Not as complex as other Schramm's, but excellent nevertheless.

Deep purple with no head. Deep dark purple fruit and light honey richness. Nice candied prune and dark plum with a nice perfumy sticky note.

375ml on Phill's deck. Appearance: opaque dark red. Aroma: booze, currants. Taste: along the same lines, honey, lots of berries. Overall: nice one.

Bottle shared. Dark red color, no head. Aroma and favor are sweet and surprisingly somewhat sourish, heavy honey, heavy black and red currant. Lingering flavors. Quite intens, though less thick than I had expected.

Thanks for sharing Sjogro! Dark purple with a ring purple head. Aroma of big black currants and red currents with floral honey. Exactly what it says it should be. Flavour is heavy sweet with a little sourness from the fruit. Full bodied with soft carbonation.
