Spannend!

0.75 l bottle shared with Ana, Lukica, Severinac and others at Goblet Beer Store, Zagreb. Darker brownish red, oily, small head. Nice dried fruit profile, fruit jam, molasses, some peat, some oak, bubblegum. Flavour is dried fruit, oak, molasses, some alcohol but nicely balanced, alcohol hidden. More like a barley wine. Spice, alcohol, moderate finish.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is malt forward with lots of caramel and toffee notes. Light chocolate and treacle notes with lighter roast and leather. Moderate raisin notes with hints of cherry, fig and prune. Medium bourbon and light oak notes. Some alcohol spice. Pours a murky brown with auburn hues and a medium sized, medium thick, tan head that recedes quickly to the edges where it lingers for a bit. No lacing and long legs. Flavor is moderately sweet with medium to medium high bitterness. Lots of caramel and toffee with some lighter chocolate and treacle. A bit of leather as well. Medium light oak and moderately strong bourbon notes with medium low alcohol spice. Moderate raisin and light fig and prune notes. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice beer. Lots of bourbon and malt notes with some nice, lighter oak notes. Alcohol is a bit more noticeable in this version, but it's a really nice beer.
