A stronger version of our Lost and Found Abbey Ale brewed to a more contemplative alcohol content.
Massive in every stretch of the brewing way possible this is the sort of beer that will remind a beer drinker who considers themselves a saint that even saints stray as sinners from time to time.

Pour is dark, almost opaque with a thick head that gives way to a creamy lacing. You can tell from the smell that this is a Belgian dark ale, with a strong strawberry smell, rich caramel and a hint of alcohol. Rosemary is also present in the nose, with a hint of pine. Light carbonation with a very complex flavour - the raisins give the drink a very wine-like taste, but with alcohol spiciness, caramel sweetness and a powerful rosemary taste that I found a bit too overwhelming. Medium-dry finish. A very complex beer, that’s interesting right from the start, but becomes a bit too overwhelming as you go.

I am so tired of beers that think they must use the blasphemy of some religion to make their point. Starts off with a big lovely non fading moose head. Lacing also is so nice. But that is the end of the good stuff. This is creamy but flat on the palate, comes across like a nitro or cask but its not. Yes, much more difficult than expected. Cannot enjoy. Not impressed. Weird volatile mouth coating experience. Much worse than I was expecting from LA.

Bottle at THT thanks to Zer0. Murky very dark brown with off white head. Massive rosemary, caramel, flowery, honey, very leafy and herbal, light sour berries, figs, toffee. Quite sweet with herbal bitter finish. Over medium bodied. Very strong on the herbs but still decent.

Taste comprises dark fruit shreds, Christmas cake avec boost, light peppery spice, treacle toffee. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light warming alcohol. Solid Belgian Stronge.

Bottle at tasting. Aroma of caramel, raisin and yeast. Taste is a bit simple, with sweet malt, sweet raisin, sweet ripe fruit and sweet yeast. You get it, it’s a sweet beer.
