Aroma of dark chocolate, chili, bourbon, coffee, maple, cinnamon, moderate soy sauce, cocoa, some bourbon. Tastes quite similar, a bit hot, with more creamy chocolate. Full, oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation. Finishes a bit hot, warm, medium roasty, medium sweet, with dark chocolate, maple, chili, bourbon, some wood, cocoa powder, slight soy sauce. Tasty. Pretty complex, with most of the adjuncts noticeable and quite hot, which isn't distracting here though. Still well balanced, everything is well dosed. Among my favourite Westbrooks I've had. Bottled 11.21.2018. black color, tiny coffee colored head. smells bourbon, maple, spices, cinnamon, peppery. very nice smell. full body, light carbonation. tastes of cinnamon, some chilis, maple, bourbon, bitter chocolate, sweet spices. finishes sweet with a decent chili burn and notes of cinnamon, maple and some bitter chocolate. very nice one, love the fresh cinnamon notes, chili has a decent burn but its well integrated, lovely bitter chocolate notes. very good one.

Bottle shared in London - huge thanks to Jeremy. Pours black-brown with a frothy beige head. Awesome beer, moderate chilli heat kick, decent roasted malt character, background maple and chocolate, some burnt toffee. Full bodied with fine carbonation and oily, smooth texture. Warming finish from both the chilli and the booze, some toasted caramel, vanilla, cocoa, roast. Outstanding.

(650ml bottle shared @ Himmeriget, Copenhagen, Feb 9/19) Pours pitch black with almost no head. Notes of rich dark malt with some impressively deep roast that brings notes of cacao nibs, baker's chocolate, earth, nicely integrated dark roast coffee, moderate plus maple syrup presence, burnt oak, soft cinnamon, hits of vanilla, the peppers are subtle up front but build to warm but still balanced levels in the finish. Overall the sip is sweet throughout but never cloying and set off by the roast, wood and adjuncts. Rich concentrated flavours. Medium-full oily body, soft carbonation. Beautiful stuff, I love the deft hand Westbrook has in balancing elements and avoiding sugar bombs. So sippable.

Bottle thanks to Russell. Pours black with small tan head thst lasts. The aroma is strong roast, peppers, maple syrup, oak, cocoa. Slick body, similar flavors to nose, nice sweetness, some heat in finish but very balanced, enjoyed this.
