On tap (@Fermentoren):Hazy, black, mid-sized lacy off-white head, ashes, toffee, chocolate and dried prunes in the nose; moderate sweet-bitter and sourish flavour, medium bodied, quite soft; lingering coffeeish and chocolatey-sourish finish, ashes detectable as well. Fine stuff…

Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen, 7.5% ABV
Black color, with small head. Aroma of roasted malt and stale bread; some good coffee and fire cooked polenta. The body is lean and the mouthfeel quite dry; flavor of roasted malts with a touch of dark chocolate and smoke; some aromatic coffee; some of the bitterness is supplied by the dark malts. The final gets drier and drier. Pleasant.

Draft at CBC. Pours black with a small beige head. Aroma is chocolate, roasted and coffee. Almost felt like drinking a chocolate milkshake with coffee, roasted and caramel flavours. Smooth and full bodied with a low carbonation.

Sample on tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration. Black colour, tan head. Roasty aroma and flavour, notes of liquorice and coffee, a hint of vomit in the aroma. The flavour is not too sweet, the roastiness and hops are assertive, the liquorice pronounced.

180ml from tap at Fermentoren, Vesterbro. A big, tan-coloured patch at the surface. Near-black body. Roasted smell of cocoa. Roasted flavour with chocolate, coffee and modest hints of dried fruits. Bittering malts towards the ending. Likable, indeed (Copenhagen, 04.11.2011).
