Honey Cream Ale is fermented warm like traditional cream ales but features an added twist--wildflower honey from Oregon. Honey imparts a dry, refreshing character to the beer because it ferments almost completely. The honey comes from a beekeeper in Blodgett, a tiny town 20 miles east of Newport.

Rogues Honey Cream Ale is a light, smooth, medium bodied ale, with a creamy head, hints of honey and a crisp light finish. Brewed with two-row Harrington, Klages and Munich malts and Crystal hops. Discontinued for distribution in late 2005, available on tap only at Rogue Ales Public Houses.

Paid $1.39 for a 12-oz single Slightly cloudy golden, small head, but it lasts. Slight honesy scent- I also smell slight IPA- but then again, I could be imagining the best parts of life. A decent taste, not really honey, but bitterly tangy... not something I particularly enjoy... but fairly drinkable. I would not buy this one again. There's better beers out there, and this isn't one of them.

So this is an American Cream Ale. Very sweet carmel aroma that I could actually smell as I poured it. Thin white head with moderate lacing. Smooth sweet flavor (I couldn't detect much honey)with a tinge of hops in there. not too shabby.

Golden coloured. Softly malty with honey aroma. A flavourful thirst quencher.

A re-rate for the better: Medium but light fizzy head - crystal golden color. Head fades quickly leaving light lacing. Aroma is hoppy with spice and citrus notes. Flavor is nicely balanced with a medium sweetness (if only a little on the boring side in terms of malt flavors) and a notable hop crispness. Med bitter aftertaste. Fairly drinkable session beer - although Rogue continues to ignore malt in their beers.
