It’s more of a dark lager than a dunkel. Pours reddish brown. Nose and taste of smooth caramels, light malts and doughs. Rated 11/20/02

Red brown colour, with a rapidly dissipating moka head. Sweet malts and vanilla aroma. Sweet malts with a little bit of nutiness, very little bitterness and little body to support the sweetness...ho-hum.

Nice brown tint to a golden colour. A malty smell with a quick-fading head. A good medium-bodied taste full of malt and a nice spicy finish. One of the best Saranac beers i've had...and I don't even like the brewery!
