On draft at the brewery restaurant. Surprisingly clear light gold. Ashy smell. Faint citrus and band aid. Not a good example of the style.

Very good looking beer. Nice amber color. Taste is a bit on the sweet side, which was unexpected. Rated 8/29/02

Cloudy orange (SRM of 9 according to my new BJCP Color Guide) body with a medium creamy off-white head. Yeasty fruity aroma with some cheerios and grainy hints. Dry yeasty grainy flavor with some light fruit and caramel. Medium light body with moderate carbonation.

Bottle from Wine Warehouse Charlottesville. Pours orange with a small head that disappears quickly. Very bitter acrid aroma. Taste is much the same with a caramel sweetness. This is an odd brew.

Aroma of straw and mint, and like toothpaste. The pour is hazy yellow and headless, despite an aggressive attempt to produce one. Utter lack of carbonation. Phenolic and tastes like a salty apple. Tolerable bitter hop finish. The last time I had a Weeping Radish was a number of years ago and I hated it. I was told the brewer no longer outsources and has resumed brewing inhouse. I see no improvement. If anything, this hefe tastes worse than the lager I had the first time.

Bottle courtesy of Brentfeesh: Poured a slightly hazy golden yellow beer with a nice medium foamy head with average retention. Aroma of wheat with some subtle sour and lactose note. Taste included a good dose of wheat with some sweetness but there is still a small sour and lactose feel in the aftertaste that bothers me. Slightly below your average weizen with probably a small infection.

Tap. Banana, peach and wheat aroma - nice full aroma. Orange amber with very light cloudiness with moderate head. Light sweet creamy banana, orange and peach flavors. Full bodied. A great Weizen - one of the best in America.

This pours a fairly clear light golden body with a nice tall wheat beer head. Sadly the head diminished rather quickly, especially for a weizen. The aroma was excellent. a blend of yeast, banana and spice. nice palate, smooth, full, and with a nice wheat aspect at the end.

The colour of this beer is a hazy pale yellow colour as you'd imagine, with a nice thin white head. The aroma is that of cloves, banana and even some lemons. The taste was pretty light bodied and carbonated, but definately tasty with flavours of bananas and yeast. The aftertaste didn't last too long, but it was very pleasing. I bought this in a 12 ounce bottle entitled: 'Weizen' from Total Wine in Manassas, Virginia.
