From old notes. From tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. Black with small beige head. Roasted malty aroma, chocolate, spicy. Taste is sweet and bitter, chocolate in the beginning, spicy and then it becomes very hot. Couldnt have a second sip! Medium oily body with soft carbonation and loooooong hot burning aftertaste.

Cask at Witterfest (Fano meet the brewer), King William IV - 20/08/12. Very dark brown approaching black with a coffee head which soon thins. Rich chocolate and dark roasted malt aroma with chipotle notes and green pepper. Taste marries the nose in most respects a little smoked green chilli on top of the other spicey tone, a little peppery. Medium bodied and very smooth drinking, well balanced with a chilli/smoke finish. The best ’chilli/spiced’ beer I’ve had!

Tap at CBC May 2012. It pours jet black, with a small tan head. The nose is roasted malt, rich chocolate, ash, liquorice and a hint of spice. The taste is rich chocolate, roasted malt, dark fruit, some alcohol warmth, liquorice and then you get slapped in the face with hot chilli. After the first sip chilli heat consumes the palate. Full body and fine carbonation. An interesting and bold beer for sure, I just can’t imagine wanting to drink too much more of it....

Tap at the Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. Pours oily black with a very faint, tan head. Aroma is all dark chocolate, with a bit of coffee and hints of spicy peppers. Medium sweet flavor with moderate roast, some dark chocolate, then the hot chilies hit your tongue like acid rain. Red hot. Some dark fruits. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Hot finish with more spice than booze, with further dark chocolate character, lots of red chilies. Very damn hot overall. I don’t often enjoy chili beers, but the intensity of the chocolate provide enough character to offset the spice.

At Copenhagen Beer Celebration. Black with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate and roasted malt, with a green pepper note. Sweet chocolate flavour with sharp and hot chili. At some level, it appears well made and interesting. But it kills tastebuds and it’s not pleasant to drink.

From tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration. This is a near black bodied little thing almost completely without any noticeable head. It's really smoky and ashy on the aroma, and I also get some chocolate and heavy roasted malts. Some ashes also. Quite nice on the aroma. The taste: Oh my lordliness! Thats hot! Chikki Chikki that's chili stingy like hell! The chili completely overwhelms all other flavor! So damn stingy and burning. Like eating tons of chili nuts - just without the nuts. The most impactive and memorable beer I've tasted in a long time! Completely out there on the crazy-branch, but exciting and different. 11.05.2012

Draft. A black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, chili and chocolate. The falvor is sweet with strong notes of chilis on a roasted back ground. Wow.

Draught @ [ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012 ] @ Spartas Lokaler, Faelledparken in Osterbro, Copenhagen, Denmark.Clear dark black brown colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, sweet chili fruit notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, chocolate, sweet chocolate and malt. And then it comes ... a huge chili burn that takes forever to go away ! Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. IMO very fun, but undrinkable for more than a few sips ....[20120511]
