Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours light cola color with a slight beige head. Aroma of a little roast malt with some arguable nuttiness. Med body. Flavor is that brown ale sort of roast malt with some mildly greasy nut and enough bitter for there to be some hop. Finishes towards dry with light bitter.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a shaker bottled on date January 3, 2012. Pours dark amber with finger width off-white head that dissapates. A little lacing, medium body, low carbonation, and aroma is light nut. Taste is roasted malt, nut, hint of chocolate, and light bitter finish.

Location: 12 oz short bottle from Colonial Wine and Spirits, 4/30/12

Aroma: The nose is fairly subtle with some hints of nutty and toasted malts
Appearance: It pours a clear orange-brown color with a fizzy, quickly dissipating, off-white head
Flavor: The taste is also a little on the dull side as well, with some light sweetness and not much else
Palate: The body is light and rather watery, with an overly fizzy carbonation that hurts the drinkability
Overall Impression: I wasn't a fan of this one. Honestly, I just didn't felt like it worked at all. The nose was dull, the taste was bland, and the body was both watery and too carbonated. I'll probably try to stay clear of this one.

Pours deep garnet into a shaker. Soapy off white head with medium retention recedes leaving scant lacing. Dusty caramel aromas. Sweet sour caramel front to back and into the dry metallic finish.

A wonderful looking beer. Faint malty aroma. Thin body with a little hop. Some medicininess in the finish. Unremarkable and something of a disappointment

12 oz sttubby bottle; this bottle reads 5.8% ABV. Bought at Super 1 in Rathdrum, ID. Pours clear copper with a thin beige dissipating head. Aroma is yeasty dough, caramel, faintly nutty; could be more assertive. Taste is roasty, nutty, sweet, a little tart mid-sip, finishes with a faint dry bitterness. Carbonation is medium-high, body is pretty thin. Nice brown ale, but there’s a lot better out there.
