Pretty okay beer. Basically sweet with a little bit of Carbonic tent going to hint of bitterness to balance it and not much more. There is no way that this is a Belgian beer that was double fermented.

12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Milwaukee. Hazy amber, large creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of toasted bready malt, caramel, raisin, cinnamon. The taste is cherries, spice, bready malt, apricot. Medium bodied, mild lingering spice.

Enjoyed on tap as part of a sampler at Ale Asylum in Madison, WI. Appearance is a whisky like brown with thin white rim. Aroma light, bit of caramel, little spice, faint. Taste is decent for the style, chewey, light prune, little bit of malt. Seems like a decent amount going on, my friend I went with didn’t like it but since I’ve had the style in other varieties before, I kind of enjoyed it.

12 oz bottle. Pours amber with lots of fine particles and a rather yellowy off-white head. Aroma has lots of cloves, bubble gum, and pear yeast notes, hints at something like caramel. Flavor leads again with yeasty clove, pear, and bubble gum, blending with a strong earthiness, nuttiness, a little toffee perhaps. Pretty tasty.

Draft at Old Fashioned. Filtered amber-orange-brown color. Thin, oily, non head. Sweet, mild, malty aroma. A beastly beer to be served by the pint. Sweet amber malt, fruity vanilla tones. Quite well executed, sort of like an unspiced Belgian Xmas beer. Creamy and drinkable, with some slight alcohol warmth. Nice.

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has strong notes of malt, medium notes of caramel, and light notes of spices. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of malt and medium notes of caramel, leaing to a dry alcohol finish. The alcohol burns lightly on the palate. Thanks CaptainCougar for coming to Denmark and sharing this.
