Created by Rodney Kibzey, Illinois.

Rodney describes his wonderfully complex brew as "deep amber in color with a full creamy body and a dark fruit and clove aroma." This traditional Bavarian style brew took Rodney a few batches to perfect, but the taste is worth all of his hard work.

Sent in a photo to be uploaded. All I can say is wow, I am glad I picked this up, it is excellent. A big suprise from Sam Adams. Aroma is of bananas, cream, clove, honey and alcohol. Poors with a large, light brown, extremely creamy head with exceptional lacing and great retention. Muddy brown body. Taste is malty with banana and sweet alcohol. A bit waterey and lively carbonated. Mouthfeel/palate, whatever you want to call it is the weakest part of this beer. Great stuff, if you see it, buy it!

Pours a dark, nearly opaque, mahogany brown color with a frothy, heavy looking tan head. This LongShot has a fairly intense aroma of yeast, alcohol, banana, smoked wheaty malts, and Belgian candy. This style of beer doesn’t produce my favorite beer aroma, but this brew has a very pronounced aroma regardless of personal taste. Flavor is very similar to the aroma, although reminds me more of an abbey dubbel than a weizen bock. Flavor blends heavy fruit flavors (plum and banana), heavy yeast flavor and heavy malt flavor. Nothing subtle in this bottle. Again, not my favorite style, and a little misrepresented by calling it a weizenbock, but still a pleasant flavor. Finish has a lasting sweetness and a slightly syrupy texture. I was very impressed by this beer, and although I don’t typically like weizenbocks, I thought this beer was a great representation of the style and a great offering from the Boston Beer Company.

Bottle. Pours a semi clear, red/brown, medium tan head. The aroma is a wheaty-spicy one with a lot of roastiness. Flavor is toffee, banana, clove, cinnamon, brown sugar, and dark fruits. It’s a pretty solid brew.

Pour is a murky, cloudy brown with a tan head. Aroma is nice with lots of banana and clove coming to the front. Flavor is cloves, brown sugar and banana with a little alcohol burn after the swallow. A very tasty and well done rep of the style.

One of the best Sam Adams products, ever. Tyler is right that it could be thicker on the palate, but a lot of weizenbocks are thin like this. It is brown in color, and there is abundant wheat and banana. Lots of fruit and some sugar. Really good, and its great to see them do this style that few brewers attempt.
