12 oz. bottle purchased at Total Wine in Denton, TX. Pours a mostly clear gold color with a small white head and fair retention. Very limited lacing. Light caramel aroma. Tastes like a German style Oktoberfest (less sweet and less caramel) and a sharp, bitter pilsner-like finish. Clean and crisp. Repeatable.

Tap. Pours clear golden orange, small off white head, good lacing. Aroma is malty, caramel, a bit nutty. Flavor is light sweet, very light bitter. Medium light body. Solid.

I sampled a 16 oz draft of Oktoberfest at the brewery. It appeared a orange-going-to-red in color with a bare skim of white foam. The scent was of toffee and grain. And the taste was caramel, bread and crackers. Dry but refreshing on a paticularly hot and humid Hill Country Day. Decent for a style where it is hard to see a standout.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper hue with a small off-white head. Aroma of toasted malt, caramel. Taste follows nose with lots of nuttiness and bread.

Location: Draft at Ginger Man, Houston, 10/8/13
Aroma: It has a clean, grainy malt nose, with some caramel, and light hop notes
Appearance: This one pours a clear caramel color with a small head and some spotty lace
Flavor: It also has a clean, malty flavor, it is light-mid sweet, and has a mild bitterness
Palate: This is an easy drinking beer, with a clean feel, average carbonation, and an okay finish
Overall Impression: Overall, clean seems to be the underlying theme of this beer. I thought this was a decent example of the style. I really wanted to score this higher, but I just couldn’t find a good reason to do so.

Received in trade from depechemode1983 and Exiled, thanks for the opportunity guys. Pours a shade lighter than red with a thinnish white head that dissipates almost immediately. Smells mostly of grainy bready malt with hints of honey. Very faint earthy hop aroma barely peeks through the sweetness. Taste leans heavily towards the sweet bready malts, with a very light smattering of dark dried fruits as she warms a bit. Sweet almost sticky mouthfeel is barely kept in check by the crisp carbonation. This is a decent enough brew although a bit sweet for my liking.

Bottle from ericandersnavy. Pours copper with a foamy 2 finger off-white head. Smells bready and a bit herby. Med body. Tis bready. Just a little sweet, but there’s just a little hop to help cover that. Finish is lightly toasted bready maltiness. But it’s verging on dry.

12 ounce bottle courtesy of blutt59. Thanks! Pours a clear orange color with a medium frothy white head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel, leafy hops, nutty notes, some lightly toasted grain. The taste is caramel, toasted malts, bitter leafy hop finish. Medium bodied. Petty good marzen.
