Bottle @ Dan’s house, courtesy of notalush. Cloudy brown appearance with a lively, tan head. Light candy sugar, caramel, toffee, wheat, citrusy, co2 nose. Citrusy, belgian yeasty, wheat, caramel malty, slightly tart, molasses, mild candy sugar flavor that’s a touch bitter on the finish.

Würzig malziger, dazu passend süßer Antrunk. Im Mittelteil intensiver malzig, ausgewogen, wenn auch etwas trocken im weiteren Verlauf. Intensiv malzig, die Malzigkeit steigert sich dabei noch weter. Intensiv, wirklich gelungen! 12/12/12/13/8/12

750 ml bottle shared by beastiefan2k. Pour is almost clear copper mahogany, with a smallish off white head. Aroma is wheat malt, some yeast grass floral spice and a soft hay element in the back. Soft, pleasant nose. Taste starts off with a somewhat cloying sweet herbal (which I did not get in the nose), along with the grass and straw. Taste is interesting, but lacks some of the integration and softness of the nose. Palate is medium bodied with a nice soft natural carbonation. Nice one, thanks Eugene.

Thanks to Bill for this one - hazy reddish brown with a huge, foamy, lasting head - very nice-looking beer - a bit of yeasty doughiness in the nose, but mostly dry cocoa, herbs, toasty grains, earthy/dusty qualities - quite a yeasty beer, with a lot of toasted grain flavor, a touch of semi-sour rye - a bit of cocoa and nutty character - semi-earthy - much more like a dark biere de garde, but a decent one.

750mL shared by Brandon through Bill, thanks LI crew. Bottle pops loud but doesn’t foam out of the bottle. Pours with a large, foamy head, Carbonation is way too strong but settles down eventually. Beautiful beer from the large head, has a brown body that I cannot see through. Aroma is a very nice and earthiness and very airy. Airy grainy buckwheat is what I get. Flavor is lighter, light bark-like earthiness, and more watery, this easy drinking. Ends lightly bitter bark. A nice beer, maybe good for aging, definitely a strong yeast. A bit more like a Biere de Garde and Saison mix. 8/4/7/3/16
Bottle is aging nicely, really lost that BdG aspect and coming into its own as an airy, dark, Saison. Its lively and the yeast has eaten away some of the heavier aspects and the Saison yeast is coming strong. 8/4/8/4/16

Bottle thanks to blutt59. Pours with a hazy brown and an off-white head. Taste is brown sugar, grassy, clove, pear, candi sugar and blackstrap. Taste is dry, super attenuated. Light wheat and slight sour hints. Fizzy.

bottle pours hazy dark brown with a medium off white head. Aroma is sweet with elements of brown sugar and some of the saison funk coming through. Flavor is lightly sweet doughy malts, some rye and pumpernickel and a little tartness in the finish.

RBWG 2010. Pours coudy brownish color with tan head. Earthy, musty aroma with some dough. Flavors of earthy bread, toasted malts, rye and spices. Medium body with lively carbonation.
