Massive in every way, B-Craft delivers a complex bundle of flavors with citrus-hop aroma. Moving beyond the massive hop aroma, rich roasted malt flavors of coffee and chocolate move forward only to be checked by an impressive hop bitterness. Texture and flavor dance together so seamlessly that you may need to remind yourself that, while it drinks like a session, it delivers like an assassin.

Bottle. Piney citrus hops and chocolate malt aroma. Dark brown with a small tan head, moderate lacing. Smooth roasty chocolate malt, piney hops, and cola flavor with a lemony finish. Medium crisp body, lively carbonation. Excellent, well-balanced.

Bottle pour to shaker. Opaque, dark brown. High ABV nicely muted by the medium body and the flavor. Hop bitterness, malt, coffee and roast flavor are all present in moderation initially, but then seems to overwhelm the palate. Overall a good beer.

From a bottle, very friendly aromatic perfume for the olfactory. Big black pour. Yezzah, this big black medicine is pumping across my taste buds like a tsunami, wew werweewrwew THERE YOU HAVE IT. one of the nastiest dark beers for a while. Strong bold big business; imagine the best impy stout brewer getting together with the best dipa brewer and put them in a press and wallah. Finish is the same big rude awakening, bleahayahah. Aroma and look keep this from being a total bomb for a lager lover.

A nice smooth black bier with the extra hoppiness of a strong IPA. Black with some reddish tinting, thin head, but leaves a strong impression on the palate. Would be much better enjoyed in the winter months....

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled 4/24/2012. Pours almost pitch black dark brown color with a nice 2 finger tan head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Some nice soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas of big pine, grapefruit, orange rind, toast, roasted malt, herbal, earth, and light chocolate. Great aromas with big fresh hoppiness; and nice balance. Taste of big grapefruit, orange rind, pine, chocolate, roasted malt, caramel, toast, herbal, and earthy hops. Moderate citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, orange rind, pine, chocolate, roasted malt, and herbal on the finish for a while. Fantastic balance of hop flavors with the roasted malt. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a fairly creamy and slightly slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming after the finish noticed. Overall this is a fantastic black IPA! Great hop and roasted malt flavor balance, and very smooth for 8.5%. Amazing stuff!

tap at Hopcat last summer, 8.5% abv - Dark amber brown pour with a lasting off-white head. It smells of roast malt and citrus hops. The flavor is very bitter but supported well by the dark roasted malt. There’s a long bitter finish for this medium to full bodied brew. Very good.

On tap. Pours a dark brown with a white head. Brown sugar aroma with roastiness. Flavor has light coffee, roastiness, and floral hops, solid hop bitterness. It’s decent.

On tap at HopCat. So I totally missed the memo that this would be dark, and was pretty surprised by the leathery brown glass put in front of me. Aromas are good enough... pine and citrus with that kind of nondescript dark malt. That dark malt could come through a little stronger in the flavor, too, but this holds together fairly nicely. Good stuff.

On tap at the brewery. Poured dark brown with an off-white head that laced nicely and dissipated to the edges. Aroma had a nice pine hop profile and a bit of sweet grains. Flavor was sweet with grains with the pine hops backing that up.
