Pipeworks is bringing the bling with Cash 4 Golden Ale. This Belgian inspired ale aint frontin, with it’s Pilsner malt base and hint of rye, Czech Saaz, German Tettnanger, and a blend of Pacific Northwest hops are stuntin. But the number one stunna here is the Belgian yeast, stepping with notes of pineapple, tropical fruit and a dry tart finish. We think this beer is the shiznit. Real talk!

Bottle from batch 408/409 won in lottery. Brilliantly clear deep golden color with a huge bubbly white head. Light bready pilsner maltiness with hints of spice and lots of Belgian yeasty esters. Sweet light honey and bready malt flavor. Bits of tropical fruits and yeasty phenols. A bit on the sweet side for my liking.

Sample at Kurtkeller 004: Pipeworks-tastic 01 on 01/18/2014. Slightly hazy pale yellow color with a thick and foamy white head that dissipates slowly. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of peppercorns, citrus and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of peppery yeast, hops and toasted malt. The finish is mildly bitter with an herbal hops aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Bottle sampled at a tasting event. From notes. Belgian yeast, tropical and lemon citrus fruits and a slight hint of clove. Pretty darn good.

Very hazy gold beer, decent white head. Palate is slightly soft but with prickly fine carbonation. Dry creamy malt. Mild seltzer minerals. Sweet esters and a little spice. Fairly dry finish. Not bad but could so with more hops!

Bottle at the Funky 8, Brooklyn, NYC. Big, boozy, sweet, some lemon, dough, yeast, spice. Decent character in here, but it’s tough to drink more than a small sample of this beer. Too sweet.

Bottle. Pours cloudy apricot gold with a bone white head. Nose/taste of yeast, lemongrass, lemon zest, pink peppercorns, citrus, florals and light bready malt. Some alcohol soaked bread/citrus in finish. Medium body.

Bottle shared at Zwanze Day 2012 by arminjewell. Thanks! Pours a bit hazy golden appearance with a fairly white head. Fairly fruity, lemon, light banana, somewhat spicy yeasty aroma. Kind of chewy bready, somewhat boozy, straw, straw, somewhat fruity flavor. I really didn’t care much for this.
