Notes from October 2012 $8.95 for a 64oz growler from New Beer. Put back that $12 bomber of barrel aged baloney kiddo. Dirty yellow garnet body. Thin, frothy, lasting, white lace. Smells of Juicy Fruit gum & grass. Mild pine, bigger citrus rind. Bit of butter. Taste is heavy on yellow grapefruit juice, bittersweet, never getting too acidic. Toasty/textured malt middle. Muted pepper. Lingering rind. Not totally crazy about hoppy rye beers. Moderate body, mellow carbonation. Well integrated alcohol. Demi sec. I would of enjoyed a bigger amount of rye, but I guess I'll just have to wait & see if Paul ever reproduces his smoked roggen to get my fix. :)

Growler - lightly hazy gold - clean, crisp, well-executed IPA, with a great balance of lightly toasty rye, floral hops, bitterness, honey sweetness - nice texture, prickly mouthfeemayes lot of juicy citric hop flavors and just enough rye to give it some heft and additional depth - easy-drinking, and pleasant.

Growler during RBWG. Pours a clear amber with small off white head. The aroma is strong rye and honey, Sweet rye and grain flavor, good.

Tap at Rattle. Pours cloudy orange with nose of rye and spice. Tastes of over the top rye, plenty of pepper, some basement, leaves, pine, light caramel, and hint of alcohol. pretty tasty and interesting brew especially for rye lovers

From bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is crisp hoppy and slight fruity. Dry and solid bitter. bone dry and bitter finish.

Draft. Pours golden yellow with big white head. Nose and taste of fresh pineapple, grapefruit, citrus, rye and tropical fruits. Medium body.

A hazed blonde IPA with a thick creamy light mocha head. In aroma, a nice herbaceous hops, complex and smooth. In mouth, a nice caramel malt with floral hops, citrus notes, complex. On tap at TAP NY, April 28, 2012.
