Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber with a light brown head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has notes of sweet grain and straw with just a hint of caramel. Flavor has sweet grains with a touch of caramel and bread supporting.

Aroma: Chocolate, some spices, dark malt, roasted and mild fruity.
Palate: Medium to full body. Tad sweet and an ok bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Chocolate, mild fruity, spicy and roasted.
Overall impression: Ehhh noooot my cup of tea. The whole thing is just messy and unbalanced.

12oz bottle. Deep, unfiltered brown-amber. Thick, creamy beige head. Sweet roasty brown malt tones, some cherry undertones. I would say this bottle is infected, as it reminds me a sour beer. Medium bodied, with some acidic cherry notes under the smooth malt tones. Off, but my kind of off I suppose.

Nice label! Makes me wonder about the flavors. Big thanks to probiere for this trade, a great trader! Gunk on bottom of bottle. Looks like a weizenboch. Clean beery aroma. No head, just a simple beer scum top. Malty choco caroub with a tad of bitterness. Seems to have a light alky concentration. eventually, during the session some bitterness begins to build on the back of the throat but never really quite gets there. Decent amount of cutting CO2. Rich malty caroub finish. Thanks!

Draft, at Olde Main. I immediately noticed the foam leaves thick lace in the glass, unlike the pilsener. That suggests the beer is at least not on an assembly line with just a variation in extract. Deep mahogany brown color in a pils type sampler. Light coffee notes without much bitterness. Malts are just a bit peaty, too. Hops stay in the background. Pretty nice.
