Rich and deeply flavorful, this is Weiss Beer boosted to the next level. The banana, tropical and bubblegum flavors balance the rich flavors of barley, wheat and complex yeast character.
This is an original style of beer. The fresh fruit character balances the hop flavor.

Draft. A cloudy weisse reminiscent of Schneider. Lots of bread, citrus, spice etc. Pretty good.

Notes from 7/1/2008. I'm not sure how big the keg over at New Beer is(was), but if it's anything less then a half barrel, I think I should feel just a little bad for sucking down a good percentage of the total supply. Every fresh growler hissss could barely muzzle the squeaks of joy that I would emit. Growler(s) filled over at New Beer. Poured out into an Erdinger weiss glass, but the base of operations eventually move to a 25oz stemmed wine goblet. Head rose thick & heavy in either vessel, & grew in lumpy intervals. Always at least a half inch of head at any point in my indulgence. Color is golden & constantly active, with breaks of carbonation glittering up a distinctly orange hue. You could almost call it filtered, but there's enough texture there to assure you that this wheat beer remains intact. Blissfully rich in appearance, the anticipation on every refill is pretty high. Definite scents of honey & tangerine, with a pinch of pepper. Slightly acidic tone, though much softer then a glass of orange juice. Pretty levelheaded with the banana & clove, but it comes through more as it warms. The wheat came off more juicy & less ashy then what I've come to expect from hefeweizens. Taste was composed of a base layer of sweet white bread, a good amount of honey, half a stick of bubblegum, a little coriander, & a little butter, while being mild with both the banana & lemon flavors. A juiciness that I just fall in love with. The carbonation helps springs forth the honey, & really lightens up an initially heavy brew. If anything, there is a little dryness going on in the tail end of it that puts away most notions of it being greasy or difficult. Very little sediment or excess yeast to get in the way of things. Just so tasty. Not sure of the ABV on this one, but besides a passing surreal moment, I'm fully content. :)
